Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CVICU RN with 2 years of recent specialty experience and NY RN license for night shifts in a critical care float pool.

Responsibilities

• Position is for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and may float within the critical care float pool
• Night shift hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Works within a hospital setting caring for cardiovascular ICU patients
• EPIC EMR experience is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Competency testing for ICU units must be completed, with two attempts to pass
• No travel pairs are permitted
• Call outs exceeding three per 13-week contract result in termination; make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO (requests for time off) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent CVICU or critical care experience
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Experience with EPIC EMR system is required
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Facility only permits medical flu vaccine exemptions signed by a licensed professional
• Local candidates residing in specified counties within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
