Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in an urban Level I Trauma setting with Epic charting and every other weekend required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma, urban hospital
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• Floating to other units as needed
• Required to work every other weekend
• Day shift schedule is three 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Uses Epic electronic charting system
• Primary responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care in a high-acuity trauma setting
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of recent emergency department experience required
• Prior experience working in an urban, Level I Trauma emergency department required
• Hospital teaching experience preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• TNCC and CPI certifications preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Pending licenses are not accepted
