Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Hospital inpatient Med/Surg unit assignment
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same rate
• Primary responsibilities include IV starts, patient monitoring, labs, medication administration, and patient education
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after booking and follow provided instructions
• Candidates requesting time off must have RTO included in their contract
• Former employees eligible if away from the facility for 6 months or more; current employees are ineligible for travel roles
• First-time travelers considered

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of recent MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• IV start skills and general nursing skills required
• Professional references: 2 required, at least 1 from a manager or formal supervisor
