Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position with orthopedic focus and a VA or compact RN license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic patients
• Hospital setting at a teaching facility
• Night shifts available as 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
• Biweekly orientation sessions held on Mondays
• A 60 mile radius rule applies for eligibility
• Any color scrubs allowed with professional appearance; child-friendly print tops and lab coats are permitted
• The facility is a nicotine free campus
• Candidates must have at least two managerial or charge nurse references from within the past two years for consideration

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required; candidates with pending certification may be considered
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital preferred
• First time travelers will not be considered
