Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with at least one year of experience and a current GA or compact RN license to provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU unit of a hospital environment
• Care for patients recovering from orthopedic, GYN, GU, and general surgeries
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 11:00 to 23:30
• On-call coverage required, including first and second call for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Weekend coverage included in call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Must provide post-anesthesia nursing care to surgical patients
• Expected to work holidays based on assignment duration; if one major holiday falls during assignment must work it, if two then both, and if three then two
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off, with none allowed during the first week of assignment
• Compliance with all onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start; non-compliance delays orientation by 2 weeks
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Cannot return as a traveler within 1 year of any Piedmont facility employment
• Travel pairs are not permitted on the same shift and unit

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in PACU or similar setting
• Current BLS certification
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
