Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least two years of ED or ICU experience and active WA or compact RN licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital that is a Magnet, teaching, Level I trauma center
- Patient cases include urgent and emergent interventional procedures such as Code Stroke, STEMI, trauma, and IR body
- Responsibilities include recovery from sedation and anesthesia
- Shift is four 10-hour days (7:00-17:30) with on-call, holiday, and every third weekend requirements
- Floating required within scope to Interventional Radiology, Neuro IR, and possibly pre/post-op areas as needed
- Epic is the charting system used, previous Epic experience preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
- Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for 18 months before returning as a traveler
- No restrictions on local candidates and no mileage radius rule
- RTO may not be requested during orientation week and must be kept to a minimum
- Scrub requirement is any solid color or light blue; OR scrubs are provided when needed
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required for consideration (pending license not accepted)
- Minimum of two years recent ED or ICU nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience in teaching hospital and Level I trauma center preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
