Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit night shift position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a current WV or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00pm-7:30am) including weekdays and weekends
Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7
13-week contract with possible extension
EMR system used is Cerner
No scrubs provided; travelers must bring their own
Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed but unit will try to accommodate requests
Strict attendance policy allowing only 2-3 call offs per contract
References from managers or charge nurses within the past year are required for consideration

Requirements

Active WV or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
No travel nursing experience required
