Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS or ARRT certification for a hospital-based day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting with responsibilities in the ultrasound department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Work schedule includes 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call required 1 day per week and Friday plus the weekend every third week
• Patient cases involve a variety of general ultrasound imaging procedures
• Responsible for providing quality imaging to support diagnostic and patient care needs and assisting Radiologists with exams
• Position is designated as safety sensitive under Arkansas law
• Must possess hearing and visual acuity to perform job duties
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Sonographer is required
• Active ARDMS or ARRT certification and current CPR required
• References from 2 supervisors within the last 3 years of employment are required for consideration
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds using proper body mechanics
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and capacity to handle critical or stressful situations
• Verification of license required if applicable
• Certifications must be provided with application
