Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ED Boarder Medical/Surgical position requiring an active MA RN license and EPIC charting experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department boarder unit within a hospital setting
- Medical/Surgical patient population requiring ongoing monitoring in the ED
- Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend is required
- Uses EPIC electronic medical records system
- Primary responsibility includes caring for boarder patients awaiting inpatient beds in the ED
- No validated parking is available; public parking and transportation are options with daily costs applicable
- Timekeeping is managed via UKG/Kronos system
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- Only proof of MA licensure is accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted MA RN license is required at time of consideration; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
- Certifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Previous ED or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Seasonal flu vaccination is required with no exemptions accepted
- Local candidates must have permanent residence 60 miles or more from the facility
