Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg day shift position in Vermont, requiring at least 3 years of acute care experience and current VT or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general Med/Surg unit of a critical access hospital
• Provides care primarily to adults with occasional pediatric patients
• Day shift schedule: 7am - 7pm, three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Unit may include medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed cases
• Preferred experience with Meditech EMR
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process in a collaborative environment
• Must upload all required credentials at least five business days prior to the start date
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, accountable to the Unit Director and Clinical Nurse Lead or Supervisor
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active Vermont or compact RN license required prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 3 years acute care RN experience required
• Med/Surg adult experience required; pediatric-only RNs will not be considered
