Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a day shift in Alabama requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on the 4th floor Medical-Surgical unit
• Patient population includes a broad range of adult medical and surgical cases
• Shift schedule is 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• 13-week assignment duration
• No local travelers accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates must provide a valid driver’s license upon consideration
• First time travelers will be considered
• Gaps in recent work history may disqualify candidates
• Assignment is subject to standard hospital orientation and onboarding procedures

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No lapses in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• No previous permanent employment at any CHS facility within the last 2 years
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment
• RTO requests must be fewer than 7 days
