Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications, and recent charge and PACU experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Patients are recovering from anesthesia post-operatively
- Pre-op and PACU patient populations
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted
- Responsibilities include pre-op assessment and post-anesthesia recovery care
- Orientation modules must be completed prior to start and during onboarding, depending on specialty
- If returning staff, must have been separated from previous employment for at least 1 year
- First time travelers are welcome for this position
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- At least 2 years of recent PACU and pre-op experience required
- Charge RN experience required
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
