Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of US hospital sonography experience, vascular/echo skills, and RDMS/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• General ultrasound setting with duties including vascular and echocardiography procedures
• Requires proficiency in anatomy, physiology, and operation of various sonographic equipment
• Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential for four 10-hour shifts as agreed upon
• On-call coverage required
• Patient age range varies and care must be appropriate to age served
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Role includes performing a variety of ultrasound imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols
• Operates sonographic equipment and communicates diagnostic findings
• Functions as first point of contact for patients during imaging procedures
• No new graduates will be considered for this position
• COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required
• CPI certification is mandated by the position
• Facility does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent US hospital experience as a sonographer in the relevant specialty area
• Graduation from an accredited sonography program required
• Active RDMS and AHA BLS certifications required
• Vascular and echocardiography experience required
• Must provide two references from managers or supervisors verifying recent experience within the last 12 months, including one from the most recent employer
• Current license required if applicable
• Must provide valid SSN, driver's license, and copies of required certifications for consideration
