Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and the ability to perform MRI procedures for a variable day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Position is full-time at 36 hours per week
• Work setting is a hospital-based diagnostic imaging department
• Schedule includes three 13-hour day shifts on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
• Variable shifts may occasionally be required depending on census
• Patient population includes geriatric, pediatric, and general adult patients
• Duties include performing MRI procedures, screening for contraindications, and operating related equipment
• Must communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with patients, physicians, and team members
• Responsible for patient and staff safety, including enforcing MRI safety protocols and educating patients
• Expected to maintain equipment, monitor inventory, and sustain a clean and orderly environment
• Will be required to cover holiday call as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an MRI Technologist
• Active ARRT(RT) and ARRT(MRI) certifications required
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire
• Associates degree or completion of a certificate-based MRI program required
• License required if applicable
• Must be influenza vaccinated as required by the State of Maine, or provide approved medical exemption
