Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care position covering both IMC and ICU units, requiring ICU experience and MD or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in the IMC unit with coverage of ICU patients as needed
• Hospital setting with float requirements to ICU and Med Surg units
• Night shifts: four 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele patient population
• Responsibilities include providing care to intermediate and critical care patients, and floating to other units as needed
• Must complete required modules prior to and during orientation
• Return staff must have a minimum one year gap in employment
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• Holiday coverage may be required
• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with no time off during the first two weeks

Requirements

• Active MD or compact state RN license required
• Minimum two years of nursing experience with ICU background
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience required
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two recent supervisor references required
• First-time travelers accepted
