Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a 12-hour overnight position, requiring a NJ RT license and ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital radiology department
• Position involves overnight shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on a rotating 7-week schedule
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, no on-call duty
• Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital based on facility needs
• Uses EPIC for charting
• Responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional standards
• Expected to ensure equipment is well-maintained and patients’ safety and comfort are prioritized during procedures
• May be required to monitor and revise procedures as necessary and coordinate daily schedules
• Must be able to analyze and resolve equipment or procedural issues as needed
• Travelers may only remain on assignment for up to one year before a mandatory 30-60 day break is required
• Scrub dress code will follow hospital policy

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Active New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist (RT) license
• Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
• 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
• Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment, including operation, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Strong understanding of recent developments in clinical practice and healthcare imaging technology
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• License required if applicable
