Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Advance Care Admit/Discharge Unit position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the hospital's 7P Advance Care Admit/Discharge Unit
• Night shift schedule: 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care provided to admitted and discharged patients in an advanced care setting
• Level 1 Trauma environment
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Provide rapid assessment and interpretation of complex patient data
• Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team using evidence-based nursing practice
• Perform bedside lab testing and ensure sampling compliance per hospital policy
• Use SVI patient education system for patient and family education
• No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
• Requests for time off (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract
• Assignment duration at this health system cannot exceed one year without a six-month break before returning

Requirements

• Active IL RN license or temporary RN license required
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment required
• Epic charting experience required
• College diploma in Nursing required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
