Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float position requiring Epic, NIHSS certification, and stroke education.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg and Telemetry Float pool
• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
• Patient population may include medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Floating will be required across designated Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Provide nursing care across multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
• Must obtain two professional references for consideration
• Applicants must provide a copy of their driver's license and Social Security number
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license for VA or a Compact State is required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification and stroke education are required
• Previous experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing preferred
• Experience working with Epic EMR is required
