Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and 1 year in the IR specialty for a Level I Trauma and Stroke Center.
Responsibilities
- Work in a high-acuity Interventional Radiology department at a Level I Trauma and Stroke Center
- Perform inpatient and outpatient procedures for adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients of all acuity levels
- Support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures using single and biplane radiography units
- Procedures include Y90, TIPs, chemoembolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stenting, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, line placements, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declots/stents, and PE/DVT interventions
- Utilize Siemens fluoro, Phillips ultrasound, McKesson PACS, and Cerner Powerchart
- Facility features two biplane rooms, two single plane rooms, a dedicated ultrasound room, and a separate CT procedure room
- Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 8:00–16:30
- Call required one weekend per month and 1–2 days per week, with two techs on call per shift (primary and secondary)
- Responsibilities include supporting a wide range of neuro and body interventional procedures alongside a multidisciplinary team
- Team includes 5 body IR physicians, 3 neurointerventional physicians, and 9 IR technologists when fully staffed
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Must disclose all requested time off at the time of application to be considered
- Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and must accept a reduced pay rate
- Holiday coverage participation is required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including 1 year in the IR specialty
- Active MO or compact state license required at the time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Experience supporting neuro and body IR procedures with both single and biplane radiography
- Familiarity with Siemens fluoroscopy, Phillips ultrasound, and McKesson PACS preferred
- Cerner Powerchart EMR experience preferred, but not required
- Must be able to take call shifts and work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
- Must be able to work the full shift duration and meet physical demands of the role
