Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of specialty experience to support advanced neuro and body interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center specializing in both outpatient and inpatient interventional radiology
  • Department serves adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients across all acuities
  • Procedures include neuro and body interventions such as Y90, TIPs, chemoembolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stenting, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, line placements, ports, filters, peripheral stenting, AV fistula declotting or stenting, and PE/DVTs
  • Utilizes Siemens fluoroscopy and Philips ultrasound equipment
  • Two biplane rooms, two single plane rooms, and one dedicated ultrasound room available
  • McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart EMR are used; Cerner experience preferred but not required
  • Day shifts (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Call requirement is 1 weekend per month and 1-2 call days per week, with 2 technologists on call per shift (primary and secondary)
  • Work closely with a team of 5 body IR physicians, 3 neurointerventional physicians, and up to 9 IR technologists
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
  • Must include all requested RTO at time of application
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
  • Half of holiday shifts during contract are required
  • Expect to function in a collaborative environment with a main and backup on-call technologist each night

Requirements

  • Active MO or compact state license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience and at least 1 year in interventional radiology
  • Proficiency with neuro and body IR procedures utilizing single and biplane radiography units
  • Ability to work assigned location, shifts, and take weekday/weekend call
  • Must be able to work at least 50 percent of holidays during contract
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
  • Must provide two professional references for consideration
