Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with Cerner experience and a MO or compact license for a night float pool position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Care for cardiac patients including titrating drips and pre/post cardiac cath patients
• Required to work nights on a 3x12 hour schedule (18:45–07:15) with every other weekend
• Must be willing to float between units as needed
• Patient care duties may include managing sheaths and caring for COVID-positive patients
• Cerner charting system experience is required
• Required to wear navy blue scrubs while on assignment
• No time off requests will be approved after submission
• Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
• Must be willing to care for COVID-positive patients
• Floating between different units is required based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Active MO RN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 18 months of recent, true telemetry experience including cardiac care
• Travel nursing experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA), CPI, and NIHSS; TNCC preferred
• Must have completed 8 cardiac and 8 stroke CEUs
• Must pass an EKG exam on orientation with a score of 80% or higher, including lethal rhythms
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• No first time travelers will be considered
