Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Surgical ICU position requiring a MO or Compact RN license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the ICU of a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
  • Patient population includes trauma, surgical, burn, sepsis, and multi-system organ failure cases
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
  • Assigned to day shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
  • May float outside ICU to adult med/surg cluster as needed
  • Uses Cerner EMR; experience preferred but not required
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Must be able to work at least 50% of holidays that occur during the contract
  • Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
  • Must be able to cover assigned weekends and take call if required
  • Locals are accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
  • RTO is not granted for holidays, but scheduling preferences will be considered to meet holiday requirements

Requirements

  • Active MO or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years total RN experience with 1 year of recent ICU experience
  • General ICU and Level 1 Trauma experience required
