Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a NJ or compact RN license and competency in both PCU and ICU settings.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Floating required between PCU and ICU across five hospitals as needed
• Schedule originates from the PCU
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) coverage is required
• Uses Epic EMR, experience preferred
• Float pool includes multiple hospitals, requiring adaptability to various acute care settings
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of application and cannot be changed after submission
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Local rate applies for candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years PCU or ICU experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions allowed
• Epic experience preferred
• First time travelers are accepted but not preferred
