Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg and PCU night shift role requiring independent practice and charge nurse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a critical access hospital with a 25-bed capacity
• Assignment includes both Med/Surg and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) responsibilities
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with every other weekend rotation
• Floating to other units may be required based on hospital needs
• Patient population includes telemetry and med/surg cases
• Agency nurses are required to attend quarterly department education sessions
• Must be comfortable working in a critical access hospital environment
• Every other weekend shift rotation is mandatory

Requirements

• Active VT or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience is required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Ability to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
• Experience in Med/Surg, PCU, and telemetry nursing settings
