Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position, requiring a NC or compact RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 8-week local traveler contract
• Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
• Free parking is available
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care using the nursing process in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Responsible for prioritizing and organizing care for patients with complex and urgent needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
• May participate in education, patient assessment, planning, and performance improvement activities
• Promote a safe and clean environment, and provide patient and family education tailored to readiness and need
• Open only to local travelers

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Diploma program, ADN, or ASN required
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
