Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic experience and a North Carolina or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes emergency and acute cases
• Shift schedule is 3:00 pm to 3:00 am, three days per week
• 8-week contract assignment
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Expected to provide competent clinical nursing care in accordance with professional standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care
• Perform patient assessment, bedside point-of-care testing, and implement care according to individual needs
• Must be able to organize and prioritize care for patients with complex problems
• Participation in unit goals, ongoing education, and performance improvement activities is encouraged
• Parking is free for staff
• Local travelers are preferred for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school required
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Epic EMR experience required
