Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Shift is 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., three days per week
• Eight-week contract assignment
• Care for a diverse emergency patient population
• Epic charting system is used and previous Epic experience is required
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Provides care for patients with complex problems including both physical and psychosocial needs
• Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participates in unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Must report to the lab for required drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
• Free parking available on site
• Local travelers are preferred for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state
• Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required
• At least one year of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
