Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown Unit night shift position in a Level 2 trauma acute care setting, requiring an AL or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Position based in an acute care hospital environment
• Work on the ICU/Neuro Stepdown Unit (NSU)
• Level 2 trauma center serving neurological and stepdown patients
• Patient ratio is 1:3
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36/48 hour rotation over a two-week period
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Provide nursing care to neuro and stepdown patients in an acute setting
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• First time travelers may be considered

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in stepdown or neuro ICU preferred
