Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a day shift, 4x10 schedule, requiring at least 1 year of IR experience and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interventional radiology unit alongside a team of 2-3 technologists and 2 RNs
• Focus on various adult vascular and special procedures including CVC, nephrostomy, abscessograms, and peripheral vascular interventions
• Perform abdominal, GI bleed, embolization, cholecystogram, and fistulogram procedures
• Use specialized equipment including Philips C-arm and Siemens bi-plane imaging systems
• Paper charting is required
• PACS and ultrasound equipment will be used
• Day shift with 4x10 hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Rotating weekend and on-call requirements of 10-14 shifts per month
• Duties include performing and assisting with a broad range of interventional radiology procedures, monitoring patients, and managing vascular closure systems
• Team support includes rapid response and adherence to isolation precautions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No time off (RTO) allowed within the first two weeks of assignment to accommodate orientation
• All time-off requests must be disclosed with application
• Scrub attire is required according to facility dress code

Requirements

• Active ARRT (R), CA CRT, Fluoro Permit, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology (combined Cath/EP/IR experience acceptable), 2 years preferred
• Proven skills in vascular, abdominal, and special procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and thrombolysis
• Experience performing procedures with Philips, Siemens, and ultrasound equipment
• Ability to effectively set up equipment, prepare access sites, maintain a sterile field, and serve as room circulator
