Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts and a requirement for trauma hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry unit
• 36-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
• Cares for adult medical-surgical and progressive care patients
• Experience at a large level 1 trauma hospital required
• Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, performing assessments, and managing patients in a high-acuity environment
• Must be able to work within a team at a trauma-designated hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent med/surg tele or PCU nursing experience required
• Flu vaccination required
• COVID vaccination plus one booster required (religious exemptions accepted)
