Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift position requiring FL or compact RN license, 2 years PCU and ICU experience.

Details

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) within a teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient population includes those requiring cardiac drips and stepped-down intensive care
• Floats required to three hospital locations within 20 miles as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Block scheduling is not accommodated

Requirements

• Active FL or compact state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience and ICU experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• Epic EMR experience required at proficiency level 3 or 4
• Familiarity with cardiac infusions and drips required
• Pending licenses accepted
• All time off requests must be included up front for consideration
• Must be nicotine free and able to pass a 10-panel drug and nicotine screen

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing high acuity patient care including cardiac monitoring and infusions
• Must complete time sensitive training modules upon assignment confirmation
• Stepdown nurses may float to other units within their scope at nearby facilities
• White scrub uniform required
• First-time travelers accepted
• All travelers must avoid tobacco and nicotine products during assignment
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Local and travel candidates are both accepted at the same rate
