Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring current NJ or compact RN license, with both ICU and PCU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting
• Night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• May float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) based on census needs
• Patients include critical care and progressive care acuity levels
• Large Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
• Will provide critical care for ICU patients and step down care in PCU when floating
• May be required to float between ICU and PCU depending on unit census
• Team-oriented environment with support for floating as needed
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage is expected
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU and PCU RN experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Experience in a large Level 1 Trauma hospital setting required
• COVID vaccination plus one booster required (religious exemptions accepted)
• Flu vaccination required
