Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager with a current MA RN license and BLS certification for a day shift leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a nursing unit within a health care facility
• Day shift schedule
• Responsibilities include overall operation and supervision of assigned nursing unit
• Supervise Team Leaders and collaborate with Social Services and interdisciplinary committees
• Oversees and maintains compliance with Federal, State, and local nursing standards and regulations
• Participates in discharge planning, resident care plans, and quality assurance programs
• Responsible for infection control and safety monitoring within the unit
• Conducts staff training, orientation, and evaluations
• Manages supply ordering and fiscal oversight for the unit
• Upholds resident rights, including confidentiality and respectful treatment
• Involved in daily rounds, audits, and documentation review
• Dress code compliance is required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience in nursing leadership or management role preferred
• Ability to supervise and direct nursing and support personnel
