Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Surgery Trauma Med/Surg night shift position requiring Epic proficiency and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-acuity Surgery Trauma unit within a hospital
• Patient population includes spinal, neuro, trauma, surgical, gunshot injuries, quadriplegic, and paraplegic cases
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available
• Epic EMR is required for this role
• No RTO (requested time off) is allowed during the contract
• Care for complex trauma and post-surgical patients in a high-intensity environment
• Must be willing to work assigned shifts without block scheduling
• Resume should reflect detailed work history with no unexplained employment gaps

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience in a relevant specialty
• Proficiency using Epic EMR
• References from similar specialty experience within the last 2 years from supervisors or managers
