Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a qualified RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position with trauma level 1 experience and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool
• Serves trauma level 1 patient population
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Five shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
• Floating required across multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units within the hospital
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process
• Anticipate and assess patient discharge needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Use point of care testing and follow organizational standards for care and safety
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry settings
• Trauma level 1 experience required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC)
