Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with MS/Tele experience for a day shift position requiring BLS, NIHSS, and a valid MD or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Requires floating within skillset as needed
• Every other weekend shifts required
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Locals within 60 miles may be eligible at a different rate
• Must be able to float within the scope of the RN's skillset
• Team-oriented environment with support from charge nurses and leadership

Requirements

• Active RN license in MD or compact state is required
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• ACLS certification and prior charge nurse experience preferred
