Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with RVT certification, vascular ultrasound experience, and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a short-term acute care teaching hospital
- Work in the vascular ultrasound department with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shifts are 4x10 hours from 7:00 to 17:00, night shifts are 4x10 hours from 22:00 to 8:00
- On-call required for weeknights and weekends
- Weekend coverage required, including Saturday shifts for maternity leave
- Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
- No floating between units
- Duties focus on providing comprehensive vascular ultrasound imaging and assessments
- All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state if needed
- Former perm staff must wait 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates may not be within 50 miles of the facility to be considered
- Minimal to no RTO is strongly preferred
- Compliance with scrub policy allowing any color for standard shifts; scrubs are provided for OR/Cath Lab
- COVID and flu vaccination may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience required
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required
- State license required if applicable
- SSN and date of birth required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references from the past 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required
- Ability and willingness to take call as scheduled
