Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with neuro ICU background and Epic charting skills for a day shift Neuro ICU assignment in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Neuro ICU unit with a 16-bed capacity and 14 rooms
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts weekly, 7:00-19:00
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Floating required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR, with prior Epic experience required
  • Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this assignment
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles or in specified counties are not eligible
  • No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved
  • No time off permitted during the first week of orientation

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of neuro ICU nursing experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Epic charting experience required
