Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position with ICU/IMCU coverage and night shifts, requiring a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Critical Care Float role within a hospital setting
• Float across both ICU and IMCU units providing coverage as needed
• Patient population includes pneumonia, sepsis, renal, pancreatitis, general surgery, ortho, COPD, COVID-19, GI, and sickle cell crisis cases
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, Monday through Thursday
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating occurs within facility and scope of practice
• Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit prior to assignment finalization
• Must be able to work assigned holidays during the contract period according to facility guidelines
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Up to 7 days of requested time off is allowed except during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs are not permitted to be assigned the same shift on the same unit

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or IMCU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Candidates must provide two supervisory references from a manager or above
• Must meet compliance requirements prior to start
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must not have been employed (perm/PRN) at any Piedmont facility in the past year to be eligible
