Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a hospital-based day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• 40 hours per week with five 8-hour shifts
• Responsibilities include lifting and patient transfer
• Must be prepared to float to qualified units as needed
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Teal scrubs are required for the role
• Candidates must be able to float to other units and campuses as assigned based on census needs
• A copy of driver’s license is required for consideration
• Applicants living under 50 miles from the relevant flagship hospital are ineligible

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR, with at least 1 year of experience
• Strong lifting and transfer skills required
• Two professional references needed for consideration
• Must live at least 50 miles from the relevant flagship hospital; 100+ miles for full travel eligibility
