Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient role requiring Epic EMR proficiency and current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position based in an inpatient occupational therapy unit
• Day shift schedule from 08:00 to 16:30
• 13-week assignment duration
• Work with a diverse patient population experiencing various physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional challenges
• Epic charting system is used in this setting
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
• Implement, monitor, and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and home exercises
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
• Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for standard pay rate; locals receive a reduced rate
• Parking may have associated costs and public transportation is available

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license required if applicable; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification, AHA preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Proof of MA licensure required at the time of consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions
