Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced EP RN for a Cardiology Electrophysiology Lab position in Massachusetts, requiring an active MA RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiology Electrophysiology Lab setting focused on treatment of cardiac arrhythmias
- Care provided for adult, elderly, and critically ill patients with complex heart rhythm disorders
- Procedures include catheter ablation, ICD implantation, CRT, and laser lead extraction
- Shifts are 07:00 to 19:00
- EMR system used is Epic
- Requires flexibility for shift coverage and overtime
- Responsibilities include providing and maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients and families
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills required
- Duties involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and supporting continuity of care
- Strict adherence to Radiation Safety and hospital regulatory protocols is required
- Flu vaccination is required with no medical or religious exemptions permitted
- Parking is available at daily rates; public transportation options are accessible
- Local candidates must reside over 60 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel rates
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or approved equivalent
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of cardiovascular pathophysiology and hemodynamics
- Experience with cardiac diagnostic and mapping systems required
- Excellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and computers
- Physically able to lift patients, linen, and supplies
