Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and a current MA PT license for a float position across multiple communities.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting with coverage across multiple regions including Allston, Belmont, Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Framingham, Newton, Wellesley, and surrounding areas
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 08:00-16:30
• Patient caseload covers all ages from birth to over 100 years with varying physical impairments and functional limitations
• Weekend rotation is required once every 6 weeks
• Requires ability to travel between cases as assigned
• Documentation is completed using Epic electronic charting
• Primary responsibilities include providing physical therapy in patients' homes and collaborating on care plans with physicians, patients, families, and allied health professionals
• Timely and thorough documentation in accordance with agency policies is expected
• Epic documentation experience is preferred but not required
• Covering a float territory requires flexibility and self-management
• Local candidates must have a permanent address at least 60 miles from central Boston
• Parking may not be validated at some locations and public transport or paid parking may be required
• Flu vaccination documentation is required prior to starting

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts required; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent home health experience required
• Current AHA certification required if applicable
• Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team
• License required if applicable
