Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with night shifts, requiring an active OH or compact RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Care for a patient population typically at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Schedule includes weekdays, occasional weekends, and rotating holidays
• Floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity is required
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and perform IV starts
• Epic EMR is used for documentation
• Primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care in a dynamic PCU environment
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing if located out-of-state
• No RTO is permitted between 2/15/26 and 2/28/26
• Former employees are eligible after a 6-month break; current employees cannot apply as travelers
• Locals are accepted at the same pay rate

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience
• Minimum 4 years of MS/TELE experience for consideration
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or formal leader
