Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit float pool role requiring Trauma Level 1 experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Progressive Care Unit as part of the inpatient float pool
• Day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm with a five-day work week
• Patient population includes those requiring intermediate and complex care
• Trauma Level 1 hospital environment with exposure to acute and critical cases
• Provide direct clinical nursing care based on professional standards and patient needs
• Coordinate and deliver care using the nursing process with interdisciplinary collaboration
• Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain a safe hospital environment
• Engage in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Must meet all pre-hire background check and drug screening requirements within specified timeframes

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact State
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a Trauma Level 1 setting
• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing with a Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
