Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position with a minimum of 2 years' experience and an active SC or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of an acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
- Required to work every other weekend during the contract
- Floating to like units or sister facilities may be required
- May be placed on call for low census, but no additional call required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Experience with CRRT - Prismax preferred
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June-November)
- Block scheduling requests considered but require manager approval
- Mandatory completion of onboarding modules prior to start
- Free parking available with a parking pass provided at badge pickup
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and is subject to approval based on facility needs
- Holiday shifts may be required according to facility scheduling
- Candidates may only be considered for one facility/unit at a time
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license is required
- Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-approved)
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Proof of Social Security Number and Driver's License required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Previous perm staff or PRN must be separated from the system for at least 1 year
