Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position with a minimum of 2 years' experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
• Required to work every other weekend during the contract
• Floating to like units or sister facilities may be required
• May be placed on call for low census, but no additional call required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Experience with CRRT - Prismax preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June-November)
• Block scheduling requests considered but require manager approval
• Mandatory completion of onboarding modules prior to start
• Free parking available with a parking pass provided at badge pickup
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and is subject to approval based on facility needs
• Holiday shifts may be required according to facility scheduling
• Candidates may only be considered for one facility/unit at a time

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license is required
• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-approved)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Proof of Social Security Number and Driver's License required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Previous perm staff or PRN must be separated from the system for at least 1 year
