Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level II NICU position requiring BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications with CPAP and neonatal specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level II NICU (Special Care Nursery) setting
• Provide care for newborns 32 weeks gestation or greater
• Shift is three 12-hour days from 07:00 to 19:30
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating required to Postpartum and Labor and Delivery to provide neonatal care
• Involvement in specialized procedures including lumbar puncture and endotracheal resuscitation
• Responsibilities include consistent monitoring and maintaining cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic, and thermal stability for neonatal patients
• Ability to initiate, modify, or discontinue treatment as appropriate under established protocols or physician orders
• Locals within 60 miles are accepted
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
• Support and collaborate closely with physicians for neonatal procedures

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Level II NICU experience required
• CPAP experience required
• First-time travelers with NICU experience accepted
