Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a California license, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications for a day shift position with weekend and floating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Day shifts, 4x8 hours from 7:00 to 15:30
• Weekend work required every other weekend and as needed by unit
• On-call duties as needed
• Floating may occur to other units within scope or to different hospital campuses depending on census or staffing needs
• Shuttle transportation provided if floating to another campus
• Must be available for lab work within 3 to 5 days of contract signing
• Floating flexibility within multiple hospital campuses is expected
• Only one holiday off request will be approved during the contract
• Returning employees must follow the 1-year break policy before returning in a traveler capacity

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience required
• At least 6 months of prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Previous staff must have a 1-year break before returning as a traveler
