Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology night shift position, requiring an AL or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Oncology unit (7 Main)
- Night shift (12 hours)
- Patient population includes post-surgical ortho, urology, general, bariatric, and cases such as sepsis, UTI, cellulitis, and hypertension
- Unit capacity is 56 beds with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
- Charting is done in Cerner EMR
- Required to work every other weekend
- Float support may be needed to COVID and Telemetry units
- No on-call responsibilities
- Duties include managing oncology and complex Med/Surg cases in a high-acuity environment
- No special procedures required
- Scrub color requirements may apply
- First time travelers will be considered
Requirements
- Active AL or compact RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in Med/Surg or Oncology nursing required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
