Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology night shift position, requiring an AL or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Med/Surg Oncology unit (7 Main)
Night shift (12 hours)
Patient population includes post-surgical ortho, urology, general, bariatric, and cases such as sepsis, UTI, cellulitis, and hypertension
Unit capacity is 56 beds with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
Charting is done in Cerner EMR
Required to work every other weekend
Float support may be needed to COVID and Telemetry units
No on-call responsibilities
Duties include managing oncology and complex Med/Surg cases in a high-acuity environment
No special procedures required
Scrub color requirements may apply
First time travelers will be considered

Requirements

Active AL or compact RN license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in Med/Surg or Oncology nursing required
Cerner EMR experience preferred
