Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg day shift position requiring a GA or compact license and experience in large hospital or level 1 trauma settings.
Responsibilities
- Position is based on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit within a dedicated education unit
- Patient population includes mixed medical and surgical cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 5-6:1
- 12-hour day shifts, three shifts per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- Travel nurses provide direct care to Med/Surg patients but will not have teaching responsibilities
- Strong teamwork and adaptability are important in this fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a level 1 trauma center or mid-large hospital
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Positive attitude and strong punctuality required
